TPRF provided six grants to help people in need in the U.S. In 2008, one grant was made to aid victims of massive flooding in the Midwest and another to underwrite telecasts of “Words of Peace” to prison populations. In 2007, a grant was made to feed at-risk youths in Texas. In 2005, three grants were made to aid survivors of Hurricane Katrina.

2008, October — Food Aid to Victims of Hurricane Ike.
TPRF provided a $40,000 grant to Feeding America, formerly named America’s Second Harvest, to provide truckloads of food to help people returning to their homes in devastated areas of Texas after Hurricane Ike.

TPRF provided a $40,000 grant to America’s Second Harvest – The Nation’s Food Bank Network to provide food and water to survivors of massive floods.

2008, April – Sharing Prem Rawat’s Message with Prison Inmates
TPRF provided a $20,000 grant to the Correctional Education Association to underwrite the costs of telecasts of Words of Peace to U.S. prison populations.

2007, December –– Food Aid for Children in Texas
TPRF provided a $50,000 grant to the Houston Food Bank to fund the Kids Café for one year, which provides 80,000 meals to disadvantaged children.

2005, September –– Food Aid for Hurricane Katrina Evacuees
TPRF provided two grants for a total of $125,000 to the Houston Food Bank to assist with the distribution of 6.5 million pounds of food and emergency supplies for hurricane victims relocated from New Orleans. An additional grant of $5,000 was provided to the Mississippi Network Food Bank to assist survivors in Mississippi.
