TPRF has made three grants to aid people in Niger: in 2008 to provide clean water and to overcome malnutrition in disabled persons; and in 2005 to provide emergency aid to prevent starvation.

2008, October – Water Aid to People in the Agadez Region
TPRF has made a $10,000 grant to the Sierra Vista Rotary Club Charities to aid 40,000 people by providing sustainable and permanent sources of clean water at the Tamesna Center for Nomadic Life in the desert Region near Agadez, Niger. These grant funds will be matched by other Rotary Clubs and Rotary International, bringing together $61,000 for this project.

2008, April – Food Aid to Disabled Children in Niamey
TPRF provided a $10,000 grant to Koulawa NGO to provide nutritious food for 250 disabled schoolchildren in five districts of Niamey for four months.

TPRF provided a $30,000 grant to Friends of the World Food Program to provide food for 2,000 people for one month in support of the UN World Food Programme’s emergency relief efforts.
